"Museum Inventory Books"

"Museum Inventory Books" - that's enough to start the conversation about a woman who, for half a century, contributed significantly to perfecting the scientific resources of the State Museum of Ajara. Nazi Lortkipanidze worked as a laboratory assistant, chief librarian and chief custodian. Forty-nine years of museum depository work were the most valuable years of her life, during which she perfected the museum's archive. She always regarded Khariton Akhvlediani as her most outstanding teacher and museum employee. During this period (in the 70s and 80s of the last century), the museum peaked in collection work. It reached a peak in collecting activity. Outgoing expeditions filled the storerooms with collections of museum value in all areas: Nature, ethnography, photo library, archaeology, manuscript, and documentation funds. All this led to the formation of the Ajara State Museum's collection policy. The museum instructions passed through her hands, through which she created a system of accounting of museum collections. She sorted the incoming objects and determined the range of the collections as well as the chronological and geographical framework of the historical collections collected by the museum.
