By the decision of the Government of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara, on May 3, 2018, the LEPL Adjara Museum was established, which is the union of seven museums: Khariton Akhvlediani Museum, Art Museum, Archaeological Museum, Nobel Brothers Technological Museum, Ilia Chavchavadze Museum, Memed Abashidze Museum, and Religion Museum.

The goal of the LEPL Ajara Museum is to conduct cultural-educational and scientific-research activities, search for national treasures, preserve, exhibit, optimization of museum collections, restorative, inventory, and popularization.
Its main function is:
Preservation and storage of museum materials, scientific study, and popularization; Scientific research based on an interdisciplinary approach to cultural and natural heritage (field, laboratory, analytical and experimental research);
To develop innovative governance and administrative models based on international experience for further implementation in the museum space;
Popularization of the cultural heritage of Georgia on the territory of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara through education in Georgia and abroad through education, upbringing, dissemination of scientific knowledge, renewal of expositions using modern technologies, creation of new printed products;
Participate in the development of artistic and educational activities;
Promoting student’s training and professional development;
Promoting the development of cultural tourism;
Providing cultural-value expertise.
