About the collection

Beka Bolkvadze - painting, graphics, sculpture. Studied at the Faculty of Fine Arts (speciality- painting) at Tbilisi Academy of Arts, at the studio of prominent artist Gogi Totibadze (1999-2005). He works in the genre of portrait, creates thematic figurative compositions. Two sad characters are sitting at the wooden table in  the room. The figure of a woman with her head in her arms is represented with her back, and the man is leaning on his elbows. Decorative ficus trees surround the window. The work is painted  in a dark tonal gamut. The specific black-and-white colour of the picture and the characters' poses give the painting a sad mood.
