Constantin Dausch – A German classicist sculptor. Studied at the Academy of Arts in Munich. He went to Rome on a  state scholarship in 1869 and remained there until his death. He mainly worked in the mythological genre. The sculpture “Bacchante“ depicts the worshipper woman of Bacchus, the god of wine. She is presented with traditional attributes - a wreath of grapes and ivy, a basket full of bunches of grapes.
