Ekaterine Baghdavadze –A Painter. One of the prominent representatives of XX century Georgian painting. She studied at the Faculty of Painting at Tbilisi State Academy of Arts under the guidance of distinguished artists Ucha Japaridze and Mose Toidze in 1934-40. Intensive, bright color, rich pictorial strokes and a kind of decorativeness are typical for Ekaterine Baghdavadze's works. The author expresses various feelings and moods in the generalized, idealized faces of women who are in their own world.
