About the collection

Tamaz Jalagania - Painting, monumental-decorative art. Studied at the Faculty of Fine Arts (speciality-painting) at Tbilisi Academy of Arts (1956-62). He works in the genre of portrait, creates thematic mosaic compositions. The picture shows an  expressive portrait of the artist Aleksandre Goguadze. The artist’s concentrated gaze  is directed towards the viewer. There is a palette in the lower left corner of the composition  and  a large, unfinished canvas with a nude model on the easel.
