About the collection

Vakhtang (Beso) Beselia – A Painter, graphic artist, scenographer. One of the prominent representatives of modern Georgian art. Studied at the Faculty of art of stage design at Tbilisi State Academy of Arts  at the studio of the distinguished artist Parnaoz Lapiashvili in 1964-70. Portrait take a special place in the artist's works, although he fruitfully works in the genre of still life and landscape. Artist  creates  works on biblical themes.

The cycle of still lifes on the theme of musical instruments is especially impressive. These works are distinguished by a sharp sense of texture and subject.
