About the collection

Zura Kochalidze - Painting, graphics. Studied at the Faculty of Fine Arts (speciality- easel graphics) at Tbilisi Academy of Arts, at the studio of prominent artists Dinara Nodia and Dimitri Eristavi (1985-92). He works in the genre of portrait, landscape, still life. A realistically painted wooden easel is depicted on the whitish-greyish neutral background of the canvas and a picture with the same tonal colour is represented on it. An interesting compositional idea or thematic narrative gives the work an original expressiveness.
