A Kerosene stove

About the collection

This example is a model from the manufacturer "AKARIA". It is made of cast iron and has a wick with a cross-section that was developed in the 19th century.
A kerosene stove is a means of heating and and cooking for the household. The operating principle of the stove is very similar to that of a lamp. It has a kerosene container, a wick holder, a wick, and an adjusting handle. The working capacity of the stove depends on the on the height of the wick. The higher we raise the wick, the larger the flame becomes; if we exceed this height, it turns black with smoke.
There are two types of wicks: round and sectional.
