An exhibition - "Life Story of the two-time Nobel Prize winner - Marie Sklodowska-Curie," was held at the Nobel Brothers' Technological Museum.
Marie Skłodowska-Curie was the first woman among the Nobel Prize winners and received the Nobel Prize twice, in 1903 for physics and in 1911 for chemistry. She researched the treatment of radiation-induced tumors and founded crucial medical research centers. The scientist also discovered radium and polonium together with her husband, Pierre Curie.
The guests had the opportunity to see the photos of Marie Sklodowska-Curie and familiarise themselves with the materials describing the life and work of the first Nobel Prize winner.
Through the documentary film, the audience learned an exciting story about the first female discoverer of many findings in the field of radioactive substances.
