  • Georgian manuscript tradition and book art have a history of 16 centuries. Its origins should be traced to the recognition of Christianity as the state religion. The Georgian manuscript book was not created in an environment detached from world civilization. It pay an attention to the main center of Christianity and always developed through Syria, Palestine and close cultural ties with Constantinople
