Lao Jon Jao’s Samovari. XIX century.

Grown tea to Chakvi by the Chinese tea specialist Lao John Jao was considered the best in the Russian Empire.Tea was delicaus and was not lower in quality then Chinese tea. The tea tasted good and was not inferior to Chinese tea. „Royal tea” – named the tea produced in Chaqvi.
Samovar - is a teamaker. The use and establishment was conditioned by the development of tea culture in Adjara. The samovar was used in urban life, for ceremonial gatherings, or for family celebrations. Inviting for tea has become a kind of fashionable hobby, which made the using of samovar actual.
