About the collection
- In 1895, the Social Democrats Giorgi Franceski and Ivan Luzin formed a well-organized social-democratic circle with ties to the workers' circles of Tbilisi, Baku, and St. Petersburg. They formed a circle program that contained both economic and political demands. The "Communist Party Manifesto" of K. Marx and F. Engels was printed on the hectograph in Georgian and distributed in different cities of Georgia. Soon G. Franceski and Al. Luzin was arrested and deported.
