About the collection

The flag is one of the main attributes of Georgian state symbols of the Democratic republic of Georgia in 1918-1921. The republic of Georgia has its three colored flag: Dark red, black and white.

The draft of the tricolor flag was discussed and approved by the art commission of the Georgian national council. On September 10 in  1918 year,  passed a law about  the flag of the republic of Georgia. The author  of the flag  is sculptor Iakob Nikoladze.
