About the collection

• The Nobel Brothers Oil Production Partnership built an oil terminal in Batumi in 1883. With their participation, construction works were carried out on the Baku-Tbilisi-Batumi railway line. An 835-kilometer-long oil pipeline was built. Telephone connection was also constract along the oil pipeline route. All the construction of the pipeline was performed at a high technical level at that time, and the pipeline itself was one of the most powerful in the world.
