About the collection

•             Ajarian women used to wear silver jewels. Apart from this, gold, copper and bead-coin jewels were also worn. They wore jewelry both for the anniversary and in everyday life. Turquoise, ruby, coral, colored glass are used as jewelry materials.

          Jewelry was mainly imported  to Adjara from Akhaltsikhe and  from different regions of Turkiy. And so there were observed  borrowed forms. Akhaltsikhe was considered to be the main center in Georgia after Tbilisi.
