“chakura”- Man’s costume of short tunic, narrow silk-striped trousers and leather belt.

About the collection

  • Chakura was worn by men as a top outfit and was in fact the top of the chokha. Apart from the Chokha, In addition  of Chakura set included Zubuni - waistcoat -two-breasted Akhalukhi -caucasian tight-fitting tunic type clothes, trousers, a talabulus belt, checked fabric, leggings, socks, and lether  shoes with curling toe-   "Lafchini".

            Chakura was widespread in southwestern Georgia, Guria-Adjara and Samegrelo.
