Zaur Tsuladze (1940-2016) - painter. He studied at the Faculty of Applied Arts of the Academy of Fine Arts in Tbilisi in the workshop of the well-known artists Tengiz Japaridze and Givi Kandareli (1963-70). He worked in the landscape genre and created thematic compositions.
The painting - "Batumi Harbour" (canvas, oil. 87X71. 2003) shows the harbor of Batumi with ships. In the background of the composition, there is a distant mountain landscape with scattered tiny houses. The blue-green colour dominates the work, which is characterised by a particular stylisation and decorativeness.
