Emine Makharadze had been an employee of the Ajara Museum since 1944.

Emine Makharadze had been an employee of the Ajara Museum since 1944. She began her career as a research worker and was responsible for the museum's photo collection until 1996. For eleven years, she worked in the field of ethnography. A number of interesting exhibitions were organised under her direction. She systematically took part in scientific expeditions and was the leader of many expeditions. She had visited almost all the districts and villages of Ajara on foot, from which she collected a number of interesting exhibits and added them to the museum collection.
She was called a living chronicler because she not only knew the history of every photograph in the museum's photo library, when it was brought in, by whom, from whose family, who was depicted in a single photograph, but she could also perfectly describe in detail every exhibit kept in the museum's depots and the activities of the museum in general
