On 5, 12, 19, and 26 June 2024, NEMO (Network of European Museum Organisations) organized an online training program on sustainable development planning for museum institutions. Henry McGuire - ICCROM Curator, and José Luis Peterzoli Jr - ICCROM Strategic Planning Manager (International Centre for the Study of the Preservation and Restoration of Cultural Property), led the training.
Representatives from 18 museums from different countries were involved in the training, including Megi Tetemadze, International and Public Relations Coordinator of the LEPL Ajara Museum.
During the training, the participants got acquainted with the 2030 Agenda " and the Sustainable Development Goals and how they relate to museum activities. Henry McGuire helped them identify local and national challenges and their organizations' positive and negative impacts on sustainable development.
