• 1918 წლის 30 ოქტომბერს მუდროსის საზავო ხელშეკრულებით სამხრეთ-დასავლეთ საქართველო ინგლისს გადაეცა. ბათუმის ოლქში დამყარდა ინგლისის საოკუპაციო რეჟიმი. ოლქის სამხედრო გუბერნატორად დაინიშნა გენერალი კუკ -კოლისი, რომელმაც აქ ინგლისელთა სრული დიქტატურა დაამყარა. გამოსცა რიგი ბრძანებები. ბათუმის ოლქი დაიყო ადმინისტრაციულ ერთეულებად, დათხოვნილი იქნა საქალაქო სათათბირო და გამგეობა. გამკაცრდა ფინანსური და ეკონომიური სანქციები, აიკრძალა მანიფესტაციები და გაფიცვები.

     ინგლისის  საოკუპაციო რეჟიმი 1920 წლის ივლისამდე გაგრძელდა.

Statements of General Cook-Collis.1919

• On October 30, 1918, under the Mudros  peace agreement, southwestern Georgia was handed  to England. The occupation regime of England was established in Batumi district. General Cook-Collis was appointed as the military governor of the district, who established a complete dictatorship of the British here. He produce a lot off  statements. He issued a number of command. Batumi district was divided into administrative units, the city council and the board were dismissed. Financial and economic sanctions were tightened, demonstrations and strikes were banned. The British occupation regime lasted until July 1920.
